Olite-Erriberri Patron Saint Festival
Olite-Erriberri holds a week-long September festival combining an opening rocket, vespers, giants and big-heads, pipers, dances, communal meals, street bull runs, music and events for all ages.
Usual date
The dates are announced each year. In 2026 the festival runs from 13 to 19 September, with the 14th as the main Day of the Merindad and Men, including solemn Mass and the reception of officials.

Where it is held
Plaza Carlos III is one of the main gathering places. The programme also reaches Santa María la Real church, the bullring, the Placeta, the old town and streets such as Calle Mayor, San Francisco and Judería.
Events and traditions
- Opening rocket, bell ringing, first round and the traditional Riau-Riau.
- Olite-Erriberri's Giants and Big-Heads, pipers, txistularis, dance group and Municipal Band.
- Morning rounds, street music, afternoon concerts, dances, children's fire bulls and final rounds.
- Street bull runs and bullring events, alongside children's activities.
- Days dedicated to the Merindad and Men, Women, Older People, Youth, Erri-Berri and Music.
- Farewell with the traditional Pobre de Mí.
A shared celebration
Communal meals, the older residents' aperitif, paella, calderetes and fundraising bingos give the festival its participatory character. Musical, sports and cultural groups share responsibility for events with the Town Council.
