Where it is held

San Millán parish church hosts the religious services. Plaza de España is the setting for much of the social programme, performances and games; the peñas' site is on the Finca Montejano esplanade, while bull events take place in the bullring. The programme also uses the swimming pool, football ground, sports centre and other municipal spaces.

Worship of the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud

The ringing of bells and placing the image on its processional platform mark the preparations. A triduum precedes the principal Mass and the procession, which leaves San Millán parish church. The published programme distinguishes these patronal rites from the recreational events.

Events and atmosphere

• The peñas' parade, opening address, opening rocket and opening of the peñas' site.
• Open-air dances, concerts, DJ sessions and fireworks.
• Running of cattle and releases of cattle and heifers, alongside other bull events.
• Games, tournaments, competitions, children's activities and days devoted to different groups within the town.
• Community drinks and tastings organised with peñas and associations.

Participation and safety

The Town Council, parish, peñas, associations, sports clubs and cultural groups all contribute to the programme. Each edition includes its own prevention and assistance measures; in 2026 these included a Punto Violeta support point and a mobile drug-prevention unit.
