Our Lady of the Rosary Patronal Festival in Valdemoro

Valdemoro marks the end of summer with its patronal festival in honour of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Our Lady of the Rosary. Worship of the patron is joined by peñas, music, family activities, bull runs and community gatherings at venues across the town.

When it is held

The festivities take place around 8 September, the day devoted to the patron. The programme normally runs for several days and culminates with the Rosario de la Aurora, High Mass and the procession.

Main venues

Nuestra Señora de la Asunción parish church hosts the religious services. Plaza de la Constitución is the setting for the opening address, rocket launch, concerts and peña gatherings. The bullring, the football pitches at the municipal sports centre, Parque Enrique Tierno Galván, Teatro Municipal Juan Prado, residential homes and neighbourhood parks complete the festival map.
