Nuestra Señora de Gracia Coronada Fair and Patronal Festival in Gelves

Gelves holds its patronal fair around Nuestra Señora de Gracia Coronada, combining worship, social gatherings in the municipal marquee, music and community activities. The tuberose offering and the patron's procession give the celebration its distinctive character.

Usual date

The five central days usually fall in the last week of August. Each year's calendar may also include tournaments, the opening address and other preliminary activities.

Where it is held

The programme uses the fairground and municipal marquee, Santa María de Gracia parish church, the Town Hall, Puerto Gelves, the pensioners' centre and several municipal sports facilities.

Events and traditions

  • A tuberose offering, walking from the Town Hall to the church.

A community celebration

The Town Council presents the fair as a meeting place across generations. Council departments, associations, clubs, peñas, marquee operators, sponsors, security services and emergency teams all take part. In 2026 the arrangements include a Punto Violeta support point, a Punto Azul child-safety point and one noise-free hour at the fair rides each day.
