Gelves Fair and Patronal Festival 2026 programme

The five central days run from Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 August 2026. The official programme also includes preliminary events from 7 August.

Notice: the programme may change. Check the Town Council's information before travelling. The fair rides have a noise-free hour from 22:00 to 23:00 every day.

Preliminary events

7 August, 23:00: ninth fair opening address by Enrique Jiménez Cruz, with Diego Benjumea, Plaza Duque de Alba.
15 August, 20:30: doubles pétanque tournament, Parque de Los Naranjos, beside Casa de Botes.
17-21 August, 19:00-22:30: ninth Feria de Gelves padel tournament, Club Bernier, Calle Brasil s/n.
18 August, 20:00: tortilla competition, pensioners' centre.
19 August, 20:00: parchís tournament, pensioners' centre; 21:00: under-16 triangular football tournament, Campo Municipal Eritaña.
20 August, 21:00: C. D. Gelves-Coria C. F. senior football match, Campo Municipal Eritaña.
21 August, 21:30: youth triangular football tournament, Campo Municipal Eritaña.
22 August, 12:00: greasy-pole contest, Puerto Gelves; 14:30: pensioners' association lunch, pensioners' centre.
25 August, 19:30-20:30: aquagym, municipal sports-centre pool; 20:00: sevillanas competition, pensioners' centre.

Wednesday 26 August

12:00: daytime game, pensioners' centre.
14:00: sardine lunch for members, pensioners' centre.
22:00: cena del pescaito, municipal marquee.
00:00: switching on the fair lights, with Juan Ventura at the entrance.
00:15: Juan Ventura, municipal marquee; 1:45-5:30: DJ Darío Fernández and a special youth and Children's Council session.

Thursday 27 August

10:00-14:00 and 17:00-22:00: public veneration of Nuestra Señora de Gracia Coronada, Santa María de Gracia parish church.
11:00: ninth domino tournament, pensioners' centre.
19:00: bicycle ribbon race, fairground.
22:00: Escuela Flamenca de Gelves “Gema García”, municipal marquee.
23:30-1:30: DJ Isra Jiménez and anniversary session; 1:30-5:30: DJ Darío Fernández and special youth session, municipal marquee.

Friday 28 August

22:00: official fair and patronal-festival reception, municipal marquee.
23:30-1:30: Jorge Kandel, AnaBella Arregui, Luis Romero, Rojas and Palomy López; 1:45-5:30: DJ Darío Fernández and a special youth session, municipal marquee.

Saturday 29 August

21:00: tuberose offering to the patron leaves the Town Hall; it reaches the parish church at 21:30, accompanied by the San Juan Evangelista Esperanza de Triana cornet and drum band.
00:00-2:00: Los Elegidos; 2:15-5:30: DJ Darío Fernández, special youth session and entertainment, municipal marquee.

Sunday 30 August

20:30: procession of the venerated image of the Santísima Virgen de Gracia Coronada, patron of Gelves.
