Sevilla la Nueva Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo Festival 2026 programme

The patronal festivities run from Saturday 5 to Sunday 20 September 2026. The principal day is Monday 14 September.

Notice: the Town Council may amend the programme. Several activities require registration or have specific conditions; check the official booklet before attending.

Religious programme

  • Friday 11, 19:00: exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and rosary; 20:00: triduum Mass.
  • Saturday 12, 19:00: exposition and rosary; 20:00: triduum Mass; 20:30-21:30: confessions.
  • Sunday 13, 11:00: exposition and rosary; 12:00: triduum Mass; 13:00: floral offering to the Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo.
  • Monday 14, 12:00: Mass in honour of the Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo at Santiago Apóstol parish church, followed by community lemonade in Plaza de Sevilla; 19:30: procession through the streets.
  • Tuesday 15, 20:00: Mass for deceased residents.

Saturday 5 September

  • 13:00: presentation of the peñas and tying of neckerchiefs in Plaza de España; and cañeo with Bellotas Sound brass band from Plaza de España to Plaza de los Arcos.
  • 15:00: peñas' paella lunch, marquee in Plaza de los Arcos.
  • 17:00-22:00: bingo at 17:00, De Locos covers from 18:00 to 21:00 and background music until 22:00, Plaza de los Arcos marquee.

Sunday 6 and Wednesday 9 September

  • Sunday 6, 11:30-14:30: water party with foam, water inflatables and a slide, Plaza de los Arcos and Calle Caño.
  • Sunday 6, 18:30: canine beauty competition and display, Plaza de los Arcos marquee; registration from 18:00.
  • Wednesday 9, 14:00: older people's lunch and a performance by Raúl Santana, Restaurante El Ternasco; limited places and municipal registration.

Friday 11 September

  • 19:30-21:00: giants and big-head figures from Casa Grande through Plaza de los Arcos, Plaza de Sevilla and Plaza de España.
  • 23:00: opening address from the Town Hall balcony by Peña Llámala y Corre and Jaime Domínguez, Jimmy Go.
  • 00:00: fireworks at Rotonda del Hórreo.
  • 00:30-05:00: open-air dance with Orquesta Nueva Banda, Plaza de España.
  • From 00:30: Alex Colomo and Armin Heidari sessions in the Plaza de los Arcos marquee, continuing until 05:30 as listed.

Saturday 12 September

  • 13:30-16:30: lunchtime music hosted by Peña Taurina Sevilla la Nueva, Plaza de España.
  • 17:30-20:30: traditional games, table football, multi-sport gallery, interactive tables and cones, and close-up magic, Plaza de los Arcos.
  • 22:30-03:00: open-air dance with Orquesta Maremagnum, Plaza de España.
  • 00:00-05:30: music at the Plaza de los Arcos marquee with JoseBg, Back Dj and Dj Local in the slots printed in the programme.

Sunday 13 September

  • 13:00: floral offering, Santiago Apóstol parish church.
  • 13:30-16:30: lunchtime music hosted by Peña Llámala y Corre, Plaza de España.
  • 17:30-20:30: large inflatable park, Plaza de los Arcos.
  • 21:30-00:30: open-air dance with Orquesta Génesis, Plaza de España.

Monday 14 September

  • 12:00: patronal Mass, Santiago Apóstol parish church, followed by community lemonade in Plaza de Sevilla.
  • 13:30-16:30: lunchtime music hosted by Peña Tú, No Vienes, Plaza de España.
  • 19:30: procession of the Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo through the town.

Friday 18 September

  • 17:00: peñas meet and follow a brass band from Plaza de España to the bullring.
  • 17:15: Cagada del Manso and release of heifers, bullring.
  • 20:30-23:30: older people's dance with Orquesta Avatars, Plaza de España.
  • 23:00-00:30: Fitomanía, a Fito & Fitipaldis tribute; 00:30-02:30: Queen Legacy, a Queen tribute, Plaza de los Arcos marquee.

Saturday 19 September

  • 11:00-15:00: Humor Amarillo for the peñas, bullring.
  • 14:30-17:00: lunchtime music hosted by Peña La Fuga, Plaza de España.
  • 17:00: peñas and brass band to the bullring; 17:15: children's running event with oxen; 18:00: release of heifers.
  • 21:00: 46th Gran Chuletada; 22:30-03:00: open-air dance with Orquesta Musical Compass, Plaza de España.
  • 00:30-05:30: Dj Tello and Joel Evans sessions, Plaza de los Arcos marquee.

Sunday 20 September

  • 12:45: peñas and brass-band route from Plaza de España to the bullring.
  • 13:00: practical class by the José Cubero Yiyo school; 13:45: release of a cow for local recortadores, bullring.
  • 14:00-16:30: lunchtime music hosted by Peña Los Chupitos, Plaza de España.
  • 16:30-18:00: colour party, Plaza de los Arcos marquee.
  • 18:00: closing firecrackers, Plaza de los Arcos.

Associated sports programme

  • 4-7 September: beach volleyball tournament at Ciudad Deportiva Héctor Valero, with separate age categories and time slots.
  • Tuesday 8, 19:30: pétanque tournament, court in Calle Sevillanos.
  • Thursday 10, 19:30: eighth Zumba marathon, Plaza de los Arcos.
  • Saturday 19, 09:30-15:00: Labrador Retriever specialist show, Parque del Hórreo; 17:00-18:30: talk in the Town Hall assembly room.
  • Saturday 26: chess tournaments, Plaza de los Arcos; 2-4 October: tennis and padel tournament at Ciudad Deportiva Héctor Valero.
  • Sunday 4 October: 13th Corriendo por Héctor Valero community race, starting and finishing at the sports complex; adults at 10:00 and children at 11:15.

Services and advice

The programme lists public toilets, a Punto Violeta support point, reusable cups and safety arrangements. Some activities have registration, capacity or their own rules. Check the council publication for any changes.
