Sangüesa / Zangoza Patronal Festivals. Programme for Friday 11 September 2026

  • 12:00: opening rocket from the Town Hall, followed by the municipal band, pipers and Txaranga Eskartxa.
  • 13:30: children's firecracker display at El Prau.
  • 17:00-20:00: children's games in the Palacio Vallesantoro garden.
  • 17:50: civic procession to Santiago church for Vespers and the Salve.
  • 20:15-21:15: Nueva Etapa evening dance at La Galería.
  • 22:00: fire bulls and the Subidica procession to El Prau.
  • 23:15-00:20: young people's dance in Plaza de Santa Catalina.
  • 01:00-04:00: Nueva Etapa evening dance.

Sangüesa / Zangoza Patronal Festivals. Programme for Saturday 12 September 2026 · Patron Saint's Day

  • 08:00: morning music by the municipal band and pipers.
  • 09:00: bull run, children's mock bull run and release of young cows.
  • 10:50: council procession to the religious procession and High Mass, followed by the municipal band concert.
  • 17:30: bullfight followed by a release of young cows.
  • 19:15-20:45: Merindad Dance Festival at El Prau.
  • 22:00: fire bulls and the Subidica procession.
  • 23:00: fireworks.
  • 01:00-04:00: Escala evening dance.

  • 08:45: transfer of cattle to the San Salvador pens.
  • 09:00: bull run, children's mock bull run and young cows.
  • 10:00: gathering of txistu players.
  • 12:00: official reception and Basque-Navarre rural sports.
  • 13:00-14:30: street parade and vermouth with Txaranga Eskartxa.
  • 17:30: bull-leaping competition.
  • 22:00: fire bulls and the Subidica procession.

  • 08:45: transfer of cattle.

  • 11:30: visit by the giants and brass band to the care home.
  • 12:30: Mass and tributes in Santiago church.
  • 14:30: meal organised by Asociación Horizonte.
  • 17:30: community calf-bull event.
  • 19:45-20:45: Edelweiss evening dance.
  • 22:00: fire bulls and the Subidica procession.

  • 12:30-13:30: Matraka ma non troppo concert.
  • 14:00: children's farewell to the giants and big-head figures.
  • 17:30: young-bull event featuring the previous days' winners.
  • 19:00-20:30: Los Tenampas concert.
  • 21:30: fire bulls.
  • 22:00: Subidica and Bajadica processions, farewell to the giants and Pobre de Mí closing ceremony.
