Villar del Olmo Our Lady of Solitude Festival 2026 programme

Pre-festival events begin on Wednesday 26 August, while the patronal programme runs from Thursday 17 to Monday 21 September 2026. The principal day is Saturday 19 September.

Notice: the programme may change. Some activities require registration and the bull runs have specific rules; check the council booklet before taking part.

Wednesday 26 and Saturday 29 August

  • Wednesday 26, 20:00: tribute dinner for older residents, Sala Polivalente; 22:00: Olga María Ramos performs in the Grupo Escolar courtyard.
  • Saturday 29, 22:00: Ibiza-themed party at the municipal football ground kiosk, organised by Peña Las Forinas.

Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September

  • Friday 4, 20:00: presentation of the sixth bull festival and commemorative discussion for breeder Victoriano del Río, Grupo Escolar courtyard; Spanish wine afterwards.
  • Saturday 5, 11:00: gymkhana at the municipal football ground kiosk; register with the council by 3 September.
  • Saturday 5, 21:00: super karaoke at the municipal football ground kiosk, organised by Peña Los Piltrafas.

Sunday 6 and Saturday 12 September

  • Sunday 6, 13:00: swimming competitions, municipal pool; register by 4 September.
  • Saturday 12, 11:00: Vespalcalá from Plaza Mayor, with a stop and display involving more than 200 scooters.
  • Saturday 12, 14:00: community paella at the municipal football ground kiosk.
  • Saturday 12, 20:00: Encierrín and a display with small oxen along the bull-run route.

Thursday 17 September

  • 21:30: peña gathering with a gachas tasting at the municipal football ground kiosk.
  • 23:00: opening address, Plaza Mayor.

Friday 18 September

  • 20:00: floral offering to the Virgen de la Soledad in Plaza Mayor, accompanied by Agrupación Musical Sones del Tajuña.
  • Afterwards: Salve to the Virgin, Nuestra Señora de la Antigua church.
  • 00:00: fireworks by Pirotecnia Vulcano; 00:30: Orquesta Slabon, Plaza Mayor.

Saturday 19 September

  • 12:00: solemn Eucharist in honour of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de la Soledad, Nuestra Señora de la Antigua church, accompanied by the municipal choir.
  • Afterwards: concert and community aperitif in the Grupo Escolar courtyard with Agrupación Musical Sones del Tajuña.
  • 14:30-17:30: Ron&Bemol brass band through the streets.
  • 19:00: procession of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de la Soledad through the streets, accompanied by Sones del Tajuña.
  • 00:00: Orquesta Voltaje Nova Show, Plaza Mayor.

Sunday 20 September

  • 10:30: Mass, Nuestra Señora de la Antigua church.
  • 12:00: bull run along the usual route.
  • 13:30: La Solfa brass band through the streets.
  • 18:00: unveiling of a commemorative tile for Victoriano del Río, Tourist Office.
  • 18:30: sixth bull festival, bullring.
  • 23:00: No Limit mobile disco, Plaza Mayor.

Monday 21 September

  • 14:00: Dúo Sara Music, Plaza Mayor.
  • 18:00: bull run with two young bulls and release of cows through the streets along the usual route; further cattle released afterwards.
  • 20:30: closing firecrackers, Fuente de San Isidro.

Bull-run rules

Participants must be at least 16. Taking part under the influence of alcohol or drugs, carrying objects that obstruct the run, wearing unsuitable footwear, distracting or mistreating cattle, and stopping on the route or at the bullring entrance are prohibited. Participants and spectators must follow the organisers' instructions and keep access to the barriers' refuge points clear.
