Meco Cristo del Socorro Festival 2026 programme

The festivities run from Wednesday 9 to Sunday 13 September 2026. Sunday 13 is the principal day, with High Mass, the procession and the closing fireworks display.

Notice: the programme may change. Follow instructions from organisers, the Local Police and Civil Protection. For safety reasons, the council states that tickets for the young-cow releases and night bull run are sold in advance.

Wednesday 9 September

20:00: float and troupe parade by Meco's peñas.
22:00: opening address, rocket launch and firework bouquet, Plaza de la Villa.
00:30: release of two young cows, bullring.
01:30: DJ Pulpo and mobile disco, Plaza de la Villa.

Thursday 10 September

11:00: bull run with two bulls, bullring.
13:00: peña prizes for the float and troupe parade, El Verdoso.
14:30: paella tasting and brass band, El Verdoso.
16:00: DJ hosted by Peña La Presión, Plaza de la Constitución.
18:00: Autos Locos, Calle Estación.
18:30: Techno Flamenco afternoon session in Peña Dando la Nota's marquee, family peña area beside the Town Hall.
20:00: bull run with two bulls; afterwards, children's bull-cart run.
22:30: Orquesta Dier, Plaza de la Villa.
23:30: release of three young cows.
00:00: DJ hosted by Peña La Tentación, Plaza de la Constitución.

Friday 11 September

11:00: bull run with three bulls; afterwards, street parade with brass band and vermouth at Asociación Taurina, Calle Manuel Azaña, 7.
17:00-21:30: children's festival in Parque de la Dehesa and land train stopping at Plaza de la Constitución and the park car park.
17:00: bracelet workshop hosted by Peña Los Avestruces, Parque de la Dehesa.
17:00-20:30: 15th anniversary of Peña Los Desahuciados, with DJ Pichi and sangria with brass band, Plaza de la Constitución.
18:30: family Olympics and mini disco hosted by Peña La Jungla, Parque de la Dehesa.
18:30: penalty competition hosted by Peña Siempre Así, football pitch in Parque Gutiérrez Mellado.
19:30: olive throwing hosted by Peña Los Dejaos and «La patata exacta» hosted by Peña El Quinto Cubata, Plaza de la Constitución.
20:00: musical bingo hosted by Asociación de Mujeres at Fuente del Huevo, Calle Mayor; cards available from 18:00 for €1, with proceeds going to AECC.
22:00: bull run with two bulls.

11:00: bull run with three bulls, the last hosted by Asociación Taurina de Meco; afterwards, children's bull carts in the square hosted by the association.
12:30: Zumba masterclass by Asociación de Mujeres de Meco, Plaza de la Constitución.
18:30: Humor Amarillo, bullring.
19:00: procession and Mass in honour of Santísimo Cristo del Socorro. Hermano Mayor: Loreto Pliego de Lucas.
21:00: children's K Pop concert, Plaza de la Constitución.
23:30: release of three young cows.
00:00: old-school reggaeton in Peña Los Trastornados' marquee, marquee area beside the bullring.

19:00: procession in honour of Santísimo Cristo del Socorro.
21:30: Nacha Pop concert, Plaza de la Villa.
23:30: closing fireworks display, Barrio Alto esplanade.
