Campo Real 2026 patronal festivities programme

The programme honouring the Virgen de los Remedios and the Santísimo Cristo de la Peña begins on Sunday 30 August. The principal day is Monday 14 September, while sports activities continue until Sunday the 27th.

Notice: the council may alter or cancel events if unforeseen circumstances arise. Check its announcements and registration conditions before attending.

Sunday 30 August 2026

  • 19:30: rosary at the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios.
  • 20:00: opening of the Virgen de los Remedios novena, continuing daily until 7 September.

Wednesday 2 September 2026

  • 11:00-22:00: sports open day and classes at the Gimnasio Municipal; individual class times are yet to be set.

Thursday 3 September 2026

  • 11:00-22:00: sports open day and classes at the Gimnasio Municipal; individual times are yet to be set.
  • 20:30: senior football Festival Trophy, C. F. Campo Real v F. C. Chinchón, at Campo Municipal de Fútbol.

Friday 4 September 2026

  • 16:00: beginners' basketball at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • 17:30: boys' junior basketball at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • 18:30: girls' junior basketball at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • 19:00: mus card tournament at Centro Cultural San Isidro. Semi-finals and finals take place from 11:30 on 5 September.

Saturday 5 September 2026

  • 10:00: fourth Campo Real Against Cancer walk, leaving Plaza Mayor.
  • 11:00: racket gymkhana for ages 4-12 at the municipal tennis courts.
  • 12:00: youth football Festival Trophy, C. F. Campo Real v U. D. Torrejón de Velasco, at Campo Municipal de Fútbol.
  • 14:30: first peñas gathering at Parque del Helipuerto; each peña brings its own food and drink.
  • 17:00: mixed and junior padel tournaments at the municipal padel courts, and a senior tennis tournament at the municipal tennis courts.
  • 19:30: 12th olive-stone throwing contest in Calle Vilches.
  • 20:00: first peñas futsal marathon at Polideportivo Municipal.

Sunday 6 September 2026

  • 08:00: V Memorial Juan Bernabé greyhound race; venue to be confirmed.
  • 11:30: 18th Memorial Mariano García de la Torre cycle event in Calle Vilches.
  • 18:00: fancy-dress contest in Plaza Mayor.
  • 21:00: communal dinner and bingo night in Plaza Mayor; bingo is restricted to over-18s.

Monday 7 September 2026

  • 17:00: pony and horse rides for children in Plaza Mayor.
  • 20:00: Virgen de los Remedios novena followed by a procession leaving from and returning to her chapel.

Tuesday 8 September 2026: Virgen de los Remedios

  • 12:00: solemn Mass at the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, with musical accompaniment.
  • 20:00: procession through the town with the Banda de Palio de Juventudes Musicales de Alcalá de Henares, followed by a floral offering, lemonade, pastries and sweets, and dancing with DJ Micky.

Wednesday 9 September 2026

  • 18:30: children's balance-bike race in Plaza Mayor; registration 15 minutes beforehand and helmets are compulsory.
  • 20:00: soapbox race from Carretera de Villar del Olmo to Plaza Mayor.

Thursday 10 September 2026: Older People's Day

  • 20:00: triduum and adoration of the Santísimo Cristo de la Peña, followed by veneration at his chapel.

  • 23:30: fourth Oliva Fest with a Greeks v Romans fancy-dress party and local DJs in Plaza Mayor.

  • 20:00: triduum, adoration, Eucharist and transfer with floral offering of the Santísimo Cristo de la Peña from his chapel to Centro Cultural San Isidro, accompanied by the Agrupación Musical de Morata de Tajuña.
  • 00:00: major firework display by Caballer Pirotécnicos.
  • 00:15: Nuevo Tango orchestra in Plaza Mayor, followed by music.

Monday 14 September 2026: Santísimo Cristo de la Peña

  • 11:00: Agrupación Musical Morateña parade through the streets.
  • 12:00: solemn Mass honouring the Santísimo Cristo de la Peña at Centro Cultural San Isidro.
  • 20:30: procession through the streets with the Agrupación Musical de Morata de Tajuña.

Sports activities from 25 to 27 September

  • Friday 25, 18:00: boys' and girls' cadet 3x3 basketball tournament at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • Saturday 26, 16:00: junior-category basketball tournament at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • Saturday 26, 20:00: senior basketball tournament at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.
  • Sunday 27, 11:00: boys' and girls' junior and cadet basketball tournament at Pabellón Cubierto Municipal.

Travel and safety

  • Road closures and parking restrictions apply around events from 5 to 21 September, especially in Plaza Mayor, Calle Vilches and along procession and bull-run routes.
  • On 13 September, roads used by the transhumance will close from approximately 10:00, streets around the Christ's transfer from 18:00, and Avenida de Arganda from 23:45 for the fireworks.
  • The town centre will remain closed during the cattle runs on 18, 19 and 20 September. The scheduled bus service will be interrupted when Plaza Mayor hosts events.
  • Under-16s and anyone affected by alcohol or drugs may not take part in the cattle runs. Follow barriers and instructions from the local police and organisers.
