The programme begins on Friday with the Sueños de un pequeño mar exhibition. The 2026/27 Ambassadors’ Gala takes place on Saturday in Plaza Manuel Floreal Menárguez. The weekend also includes an urban-art cycle route, boat trips, children’s workshops, storytelling, Torre Activa and sports activities.

The programme devotes the day to Caldero del Mayor, an activity connecting the local culinary tradition with participation by older residents.

The main Día del Caldero gathering fills the seafront and beaches from morning to evening, with indicative hours from 10 am to 8 pm. Peña groups prepare their calderos beside the Mar Menor, accompanied by live music, DJs and charangas.

The municipal-autonomy anniversary includes the institutional Premio Alkazar ceremony and a performance by the Music Unit of the General Air and Space Academy.
