Festa del Glaç in Lliçà de Vall
Lliçà de Vall revives the history of its ice wells and their trades through theatre, heritage, a market and community participation.

Last weekend of October; in 2026 it takes place on 24 and 25 October.

Can Gurri woodland, its ponds and ice wells form the main setting, with a market, food area and dramatised routes.

Events and traditions
El Carro del Gel recreates the ice carriers’ final journey of the year. Visits, storytelling, workshops, fire, music and a community meal complete the festival.
Organisation and audience
The Town Council, cultural associations and many volunteers sustain a festival declared to be of local interest.
