Rueda Grape Harvest Festival
The D.O. Rueda Grape Harvest Festival celebrates vineyards and the work of wineries and growers with a wine fair, grape treading, crafts, music and family activities.
Usual date
The festival is normally held on the second weekend in October. Exact dates and times may change from one edition to the next.
Where it is held
It takes place in Rueda, Valladolid. Plaza Mayor, Paseo del Arenal and wineries on the wine route create a circuit linking wine heritage with a popular festival. The opening address and honorary awards accompany the traditional grape treading.
Events and traditions
Children’s grape gleaning, the wine fair, crafts, barrel assembly and open wineries present different sides of local wine culture. Folklore, music, quick painting, classic vehicles, paella and bull events complete the programme.
Organisation and audience
The festival brings together local organisations, associations, participants and visitors. Check organisers’ notices for travel arrangements, bookings and last-minute changes.
