Buelna Magostas Chestnut Festivals
The Buelna valleys celebrate autumn with eleven neighbourhood chestnut gatherings, traditional music, games and community events.

Across October and November. In 2026 the calendar runs from 3 October to 28 November.
Where it takes place
Events rotate through Barros, Los Corrales de Buelna, La Aldea, Tarriba, Coo, Rivero, Somahoz, San Mateo and Mata.
Events and traditions
Each village builds its gathering around roasted chestnuts, with music, dancing, games, chocolate, tortos and charity activities.
