La Santa Festival in Mequinenza
Mequinenza celebrates La Santa around its patron saint Santa Agatoclia with a PreSanta weekend, religious observances, peñas, local traditions, concerts, sport and activities for every age.
Usual date
From 16 to 20 September, with events on the preceding weekend. See the official 2026 programme, organised by day and time. 2026 programme.
Santa Agatoclia
The procession, solemn Mass, Coques Beneïdes and floral offering on 17 September form the patronal core.
PreSanta and town venues
The preceding weekend brings sport, floats and music to the pools, riverside promenade, Town Hall square, Sala Goya and surrounding streets.
Peña traditions
Roda la Bola, Correpeñas, the Big Bags race, tug of war and other games keep the programme participatory through to the final firecracker display.
