Horche Virgen de la Soledad Patronal Festival 2026 programme

The pre-festival events and patronal festival run from Friday 28 August to Saturday 12 September 2026.

Notice: the programme may change. Some tournaments and events require advance registration or have separate posters. Motor vehicles are prohibited during the field bull runs.

Friday 28 August

  • 20:00: Horche FS veterans' tournament, municipal sports centre; details are on a separate poster.

Saturday 29 August

  • 09:30: men's adult padel tournament, municipal sports centre, with registration from 09:00.
  • 09:30: Nordic walking meeting in Plaza Mayor; warm-up and departure at 09:50, a light refreshment along the route and return at about 12:30.
  • 11:00: sixth tomato competition, Plaza Mayor, with registration from 10:30.
  • 13:00: ACDM Horche vermouth gathering, Plaza Mayor.
  • 16:30: start of the 34th mus card championship, Bar Poli, with registration until 16:00.
  • 18:00: ACDM Horche youth-Camarma CF youth; 20:00: ACDM Horche B-Camarma CF B, football ground.
  • 20:00: opening of the local artists' exhibition, Casa de Cultura.
  • 23:00: Maldita Nerea concert, Parque de Tormentas, followed by DJ Marko DV.

Sunday 30 August

  • 09:30: 13th Villa de Horche road race; 10:30: 13th children's race, both starting in Plaza Mayor.
  • 11:30: ACDM Horche A-RSD Alcalá B, football ground; 16th Vallejo scooter descent, Calle Vallejo, with registration from 11:00; and a stop by Club Vespa Torcatos Santorcaz, Calle Cañada de Alcohete.
  • 16:30: continuation of the mus championship.
  • 20:00: the Virgen is brought in procession from her hermitage to the parish church, followed by Mass and the novena; and the ACDM Horche veterans' tournament at the football ground.
  • 22:30: Remember concert, Plaza Mayor.

Monday 31 August

  • 12:00: children's En busca del tesoro competition, municipal washhouse.
  • 16:30: continuation of the mus championship.
  • 18:00: three-a-side football-padel competition, municipal sports centre.
  • 19:00: children's Capitán Maravilla show, Plaza Mayor.
  • 22:00: fancy-dress competition, Plaza Mayor.

Tuesday 1 September

  • 10:00: children's padel tournament, municipal sports centre, with registration from 09:30.
  • 12:00: Hermandad de la Virgen bag workshop, Plaza Mayor.
  • 18:00: table-football championship, Centro Joven Colegio Viejo, with registration from 17:30.
  • 19:00: children's performance by Hugo Miró; 22:30: Mago El Barón, Plaza Mayor.

Wednesday 2 September

  • 11:30: eighth Tapas en familia cookery competition and children's games challenge, Plaza Mayor.
  • 16:30: continuation of the mus championship.
  • 18:00: mixed padel tournament, municipal sports centre, with registration from 17:30.
  • 19:00: Peneque el Valiente puppet show; 22:30: Inmensos, a Raphael and Rocío Jurado tribute, Plaza Mayor.

Thursday 3 September

  • 10:00: children's inter-peña futsal tournament for under-16s, municipal sports centre, with registration from 09:30.
  • 12:00: homemade modelling-clay and monster-rings workshop, Plaza Mayor.
  • 16:30: mus championship final.
  • 18:00: 25th tabas competition, Plaza Mayor, and men's inter-peña futsal tournament, municipal sports centre; registration from 17:30.
  • 19:00: children's performance Kicirke: el comediante, Plaza Mayor.
  • 21:00: mus championship prize-giving, Restaurante Bar Poli.
  • 22:30: Fórmula Pop and the Baile del Farolillo during the interval, Plaza Mayor.

Friday 4 September

  • 20:30: Horche FS-UD Azuqueca FS, Primera Preferente, municipal sports centre.
  • 23:00: Extremoduro tribute followed by DJ Nelo Rubio, Plaza Mayor.

Saturday 5 September

  • 09:30: guided walk from San Roque hermitage to Horche church; comfortable shoes and water are recommended.
  • 11:00: children's inflatables and foam party, Plaza Mayor.
  • 16:30: third Mus Express tournament, Hotel La Cañada, with registration from 16:00.
  • 19:00: children's recortes competition with wheeled bull models; 22:30: Malabares del Fuego, Plaza Mayor.

Sunday 6 September

  • 10:30: Holi Run followed by a water party, Parque de Tormentas.
  • 13:00: San Vicente de Paul charity vermouth gathering, Plaza Mayor.
  • 16:30: 18th poker tournament, Granero, with registration from 16:00.
  • 18:30: 28th bicycle day, starting at San Roque, with registration from 18:00.
  • 22:00: Flamencopatía; 00:00: traditional departure of the Ronda, Plaza Mayor.

Monday 7 September

  • 10:30: children's water park and 100-metre water slide for people at least one metre tall, Plaza Mayor.
  • 20:30: floats and peñas gather in Calle San Roque; 21:00: parade with Xplosión brass band and Blocoaxara batucada, opening address by Peña El Gremio and crowning of the queens and ladies.
  • 01:00: open-air dance with Orquesta Scream; 06:00: traditional Ronda departure, Plaza Mayor.

Tuesday 8 September

  • 12:00: solemn Mass in honour of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de la Soledad.
  • 13:30: vermouth dance with Banda de Música de Manisseros, Plaza Mayor.
  • 19:30: procession in honour of the Virgen de la Soledad.
  • 21:00: community dance with the band; 00:00: Orquesta Benidorm Show followed by Xplosión brass band, Plaza Mayor.

Wednesday 9 September

  • 09:30: breakfast hosted by Asociación de Jubilados Virgen de la Soledad, Centro de Jubilados.
  • 10:30: field bull run on foot with two bulls.
  • 13:30: children's bull-run game with wheeled bull models and a vermouth dance with Xplosión, Plaza Mayor.
  • 18:00: recortes competition, bullring, followed by the release of heifers.
  • 00:00: Los Auténticos Farsantes followed by DJ Dazmar, Plaza Mayor.

Thursday 10 September

  • 10:30: field bull run on foot.
  • 13:30: children's bueyada and dancing with Xplosión, Calle La Cañada on the bull-run route.
  • 17:30: field bull run on foot with three bulls, one supplied by Peña Taurina San Roque.
  • 20:30: beer gathering and DJ, bullring.
  • 23:00: open-air dance with Orquesta La Calle and bingo during the interval, Plaza Mayor; followed by Disco Móvil Euforia and, at the end, the release of heifers in the bullring.

Friday 11 September

  • 10:30: field bull run on foot with two bulls.
  • 13:30: children's bull-run game with wheeled bull models and a vermouth dance with Xplosión, Plaza Mayor.
  • 18:00: bullfighting festival, bullring, followed by the release of heifers.
  • 00:00: Orquesta Estrella Central and bingo during the interval, Plaza Mayor.

Saturday 12 September

  • 11:45: peñas gather in Plaza Mayor.
  • 12:00: peñas' Mass, the Ronda and the return of the venerated image of Nuestra Señora to her hermitage.
  • 21:30: screening of Purri47's bull-run video followed by the closing firecrackers, Plaza Mayor.
  • 00:00: Disco Móvil Euforia, Plaza Mayor.
