Tinajero Folk Festival. Programme for Saturday 10 October 2026

11 am: craft market opens on Calle Garganta del Concejo with the Collado de la Vera pipe-and-drum cultural association.
11.30 am: presentation of El zaguán de las tradiciones by Alonso Redondo Iglesias in the Town Hall chamber.
Noon: institutional ceremony and 2026 competition prize in Plaza de España, followed at 12.15 pm by the welcome and presentation of the tenth edition's participants.
12.30 pm: northern Extremadura drum performances by Jero Contestín, Eloy San José, Hugo Marcos and Eric Herrero in Plaza de España.
1 pm: San Sebastián dancers from Majadas de Tiétar, leaving Plaza de España. At 1.15 pm, Lumi Pérez leads a tambourine workshop at Corral del Concejo.
1.45 pm: Los Jareños folklore group from Jaraíz de la Vera in Plaza de la Iglesia. At 2.30 pm, La Vera dishes are served in local bars and restaurants.
4.30 pm: street round with La Serrana de Piornal, leaving Plaza de España. At 5.30 pm, pipe-and-drum players from Castilla y León perform in Plaza de España.
6.45 pm: Pablo Esteban de Zamora and dance group in Plaza de España. At 7.30 pm, Antonio de Huelva Folklore School in Plaza de la Iglesia.
8 pm: Extremadura Folklore Federation in Plaza de la Iglesia. At 10.30 pm, Rincongora in Plaza de España. At midnight, the Afterfolk party begins in Plaza de España.

11 am: market opens with pipe and drum music on Calle Garganta del Concejo.
11.30 am: Compartiendo momentos with senior pipe-and-drum players at the María de Luna centre. At noon, a historic-monument walk with Gaitas Sanabresas.
1 pm: Mass at El Salvador church. At 2 pm, Rondalla Pencona from Aldeanueva de la Vera, leaving Plaza de la Iglesia.
5.30 pm: regional dance workshop with Mario Martínez de Zamora in Plaza de la Iglesia.
6.30 pm: Tinajero Folk award in Plaza de España. At 6.45 pm, Círculo Extremeño de Torrejón de Ardoz in the same square.
7.45 pm: rondón dance contest in Plaza de la Iglesia. At 8.30 pm, Aulaga Folk closes the festival in Plaza de España.
