San Bernabé Festivals 2026 programme in Logroño

The San Bernabé Festivals ran from Saturday 6 to Friday 12 June 2026, with preliminary events from late May. The municipal programme contained around 300 activities; this guide covers every main festival day and its principal traditional, historical and public events.

Notice: the 2026 edition has ended. The City Council warned that times and venues could change in cases of force majeure.

Saturday 6 June 2026

  • 11:30: opening cannon shot and salutes, Arco de San Bernabé.
  • 11:45: opening of the Renaissance Market between the Arco, Portales, Once de Junio and parque del Ebro.
  • 12:00: opening of the Logroño Militia and French military camps, parque del Ebro.
  • 13:00: Comida de los Humildes, Cocina Económica, Rodríguez Paterna 21.
  • 19:00: Children's Folklore Festival, plaza de San Bartolomé.

Sunday 7 June 2026

  • 10:00-22:00: Renaissance Market in plazas del Mercado, La Oca and Santiago and surrounding streets.
  • 12:00-14:00: Corpus Christi Mass and procession from La Redonda co-cathedral.
  • 12:00: public water battle, parque del Ebro.
  • 19:00: military parade to the battle from plaza de San Bartolomé.
  • 19:30: Act I of the siege re-enactment, arrival of the French army, parque del Ebro.

Monday 8 June 2026

  • 10:00-22:00: Renaissance Market.
  • 12:00-20:00: family Renaissance day, Spanish camp in parque del Ebro.
  • 12:30: opening of the Playmobil diorama The Defence of the Siege of Logroño, 1521, plaza de Abastos.
  • 22:30: performance of ¡Que vienen los franceses!, plazuela Alonso Salazar.

Tuesday 9 June 2026, La Rioja Day

  • 10:00-22:00: Renaissance Market.
  • 11:15: military parade to the battle, from plaza de San Bartolomé to parque del Ebro.
  • 11:45: Act II of the siege re-enactment, The Resistance of Logroño, parque del Ebro.
  • Afternoon: Third Children's Folklore Festival, Concha del Espolón.
  • Evening: two performances by Orquesta Phoenix, paseo del Espolón.

Wednesday 10 June 2026

  • 10:00-22:00: Renaissance Market.
  • 11:45: Act III of the siege re-enactment, Surrender and Flight of the French Army, parque del Ebro.
  • 13:30: presentation of the Insignias de San Bernabé, City Hall council chamber.
  • 20:00: floral offering to San Bernabé and historical commemoration, Murallas del Revellín.
  • 23:00: fireworks, parque de La Ribera.
  • 23:30: luminarias parade from Casa de las Ciencias.

Thursday 11 June 2026, San Bernabé

  • 00:15: lighting of the luminarias at Portales and Juan Lobo; at 00:35, parade to offer them to the saint at the Revellín.
  • 10:00-14:30: distribution of bread, fish and wine, Murallas del Revellín.
  • 11:00: solemn Mass in honour of San Bernabé, La Redonda co-cathedral.
  • 12:00: procession along Portales, Rodríguez Paterna, Marqués de San Nicolás and Revellín and back towards plaza del Mercado, with ceremonial flag-waving at Arco de San Bernabé, Cuatro Cantones and Puerta del Revellín.
  • 12:30: Riojan folklore sessions and tuition in the Jota de Logroño.
  • 18:00: triumphal procession of Charles V commemorating the granting of the Three Fleurs-de-lis to Logroño.

Friday 12 June 2026

  • 10:40: call to the council, Logroño City Hall.
  • 12:00: serving of stewed beef in fulfilment of the Voto de San Bernabé, calle Portales at Juan Lobo.
  • 13:30: transfer of San Bernabé's image from Murallas del Revellín to Cocina Económica.
  • The day honoured those who fell in 1521 and closed the main festival programme.

Continuing activities

The Renaissance Market opened daily from 6 to 11 June, 10:00-22:00, in plazas del Mercado, La Oca and Santiago and calles Barriocepo, Excuevas, La Merced and Portales. Travelling shows, storytelling, historical camps, tastings and family activities ran throughout the festival.
