Plentzia San Antolín festivities 2026 programme

Plentzia's San Antolín festivities run from Friday 28 August to Wednesday 2 September 2026. The programme identifies the Astillero as the principal setting and names other venues for particular activities.

Notice: the programme may change. The Basque and Spanish columns in the municipal PDF print different times for several food competitions; both are retained here rather than resolving the discrepancy without official confirmation.

Friday 28 August 2026

  • 14:30: community lunch.
  • 17:45: reception of Antolintxu and Madalentxu.
  • 18:00: txupinazo, procession up to Andra Mari and aurresku; visitors are asked to bring their own cup.
  • 20:00: dancing by Plentzia's ITXAS EDER group; the programme names the Astillero and Jai Alai frontón.
  • 22:00: toro de fuego.
  • 23:00: Gau zuria with Gautegun erromeria.

Saturday 29 August 2026

  • 10:00/11:00: registration for the 54th marmitako competition; the programme's two language columns print these different times.
  • 13:30/14:30: presentation of the marmitako dishes; the columns print these different times.
  • 16:30: prize-giving.
  • 17:00: community Olympics at the futsal ground.
  • 20:30: children's playback competition.
  • 22:00: toro de fuego at the futsal ground and Lowe band.

Sunday 30 August 2026

  • 10:30: seventh «Plentzia La Gallarda» family fun run, Arturo Peña Memorial.
  • 12:00: MOLTO motorbike grand prix for children aged 0-4; participants must bring the ride-on bikes, which may be shared.
  • 13:00: pirate foam party; pirate costume encouraged.
  • 18:00: senior citizens' afternoon with bingo.
  • 21:30: toro de fuego at the futsal ground.
  • 22:00: adults' playback competition.
  • 01:30: DJ Bolo.

The programme names the futsal ground and the Jai Alai frontón for this day's activities.

Monday 31 August 2026

  • 10:00/11:00: registration for tortilla and salad competitions; different times appear in the two columns.

  • 09:00: 132nd district agricultural fair.
  • 11:00: diana.
  • 12:00: Basque traditional dress display along Erribera, starting at Plazatxoa.
  • 19:00: cesta punta at the Jai Alai frontón.
  • 19:00: children's fancy-dress competition in Erribera, followed by prize-giving.
  • 20:30: 11th «San Antolín» bertso performance in the church square, with Miren Artetxe Sarasola, Alaia Martín Etxebeste, Aitor Etxebarriazarraga Gabiola and Aitor Mendiluze González.
  • 22:00: running of the toros de fuego.
  • 22:30: Nonbait erromeria.

Wednesday 2 September 2026 - San Antolín

  • 11:00: txupinazo and diana with txistularis.
  • 11:30: Antolintxu, Madalentxu and the Municipal Corporation gather at the Astillero before going up to the church square.
  • 12:00: Mass and aurresku in honour of San Antolín.
  • 13:30: town band concert; the programme names the Astillero and church.
  • 15:00: cocktail accompanied by a fanfare band.
  • 17:00: children's inflatables; the programme names the harbour and Jai Alai frontón.
  • 20:00: presentation of the golden espadrilles and farewell to Antolintxu and Madalentxu.
  • 22:00: Oxabi erromeria.
