Salamanca Our Lady of La Vega Festival 2026 Programme

The Ferias y Fiestas in honour of Santa María de la Vega officially run from Monday 7 to Tuesday 15 September 2026, with preliminary activities from the 4th and an opening concert on Sunday the 6th. The municipal programme contains 118 events.

Sunday 6 September 2026

  • 22:00: Orquesta Vulkano in Plaza de la Concordia.

Monday 7 September 2026

  • 18:30: brass bands, giants and big-head figures, leaving and returning to Pabellón de la Alamedilla via the city centre.
  • 19:00: 36th Floral Offering to Santa María de la Vega, from the Church of El Arrabal across the Roman Bridge and city centre to Plaza de Anaya.
  • 21:00: Nereida Sanchón concert in Plaza Mayor.
  • 22:00: fireworks by Pirotecnia Vulcano beside the Roman Bridge.
  • 23:00: Julieta Venegas concert in Plaza Mayor.
  • 24:00: switching-on ceremony at La Aldehuela fairground.

Tuesday 8 September 2026: patronal day

  • 12:00: Mass in honour of Santa María de la Vega at Catedral Nueva.
  • 13:00: Municipal Band concert in Plaza Mayor.
  • 13:45: festival address by Guadalupe Lancho in Plaza Mayor.
  • 14:30: pealing of bells led by Tomás Castañeda.
  • 19:00: Fins al Cel circus show at Patio Chico.
  • 20:00 and 22:00: Al Límite and La Duda Ofende in Parque Elio Antonio de Nebrija.
  • 22:00: Tony Hadley concert in Plaza Mayor.

Wednesday 9 September 2026

  • 10:00-20:00, depending on the venue: open day at municipal buildings, museums and monuments.
  • 20:00: organ, gaita and tamboril concert at Catedral Nueva.
  • 20:30: VanDidos concert in Parque Elio Antonio de Nebrija.
  • 22:00: Gente de Zona concert in Plaza Mayor.

Thursday 10 September 2026

  • 11:00-23:00: 1526. Ciudad de las ideas historical market at Vaguada de la Palma.
  • 13:00: Municipal Band in Plaza Mayor.
  • 19:00: Kinematos at Patio Chico.
  • 20:30: Europa FM event in Plaza Mayor and No Cantes Victoria in Parque de Nebrija.
  • 22:30: La La Love You concert in Plaza Mayor.

Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026

  • Friday, 18:30: brass bands, giants and big-head figures through the centre from Pabellón de la Alamedilla.
  • Friday, 20:30 and 22:30: Juan Anselmo and La Plazuela in Plaza Mayor.
  • Saturday, 10:00: Charro folklore groups leave seven neighbourhoods for Plaza de Anaya, arriving at 12:00.
  • Saturday, 21:00 and 23:00: Orca and M-Clan concerts in Plaza Mayor.
