Ortigueira International Celtic Festival 2026 programme

The 2026 festival runs from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 July. The official programme brings together concerts, Festival na Rúa, Vila Celta, workshops, theatre, Pequefestival and the Celtic Nations parade.

Wednesday 8 July 2026

Opening ceremony

  • 20:00, Plaza de Isabel II: raising of the flags of the eight Celtic nations and a performance by the Escola de Gaitas de Ortigueira with guest artists.

  • 17:00: screening of O valor do noso, a documentary marking the 50th anniversary of the Escola de Gaitas de Ortigueira.
