Los Picaos 2026 programme in San Vicente de la Sonsierra
The 2026 events involving flagellants are divided between Holy Week and the May and September feasts of the Cross. All leave from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor; the feasts of the Cross follow the route to Monte Calvario and return to the church.
Notice: the organisers may make changes. Check the council's information before travelling and observe this rite respectfully.
Maundy Thursday, 2 April 2026
- 19:30: Santa Cena procession, leaving from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor.
- 23:00: Holy Hour in the parish church of Santa María la Mayor.
Good Friday, 3 April 2026
- 11:30: Stations of the Cross, leaving from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor.
- 20:30: Santo Entierro procession, leaving from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor.
Sunday 3 May 2026: Cruz de Mayo
- 18:00: Stations of the Cross involving Los Picaos, from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor to Monte Calvario and back.
Sunday 20 September 2026: Cruz de Septiembre
- 18:00: Stations of the Cross for the Exaltation of the Cross involving Los Picaos, from the parish church of Santa María la Mayor to Monte Calvario and back.
