Longares Patronal Festival 2026 programme

Longares honours San Vicente, San Gonzalo and Virgen de la Puerta from 1 to 8 September 2026. The council programme brings together worship, the Dance del Paloteo, giants' heads, local clubs, music, competitions and bull events.

Tuesday 1 September

  • 12:00: the giants' heads set out with the Banda de Almonacid and local officials.
  • 18:00: festival neckerchiefs presented to children born in 2023, 2024 and 2025, at the sports hall.
  • 18:30: tribute to older residents, arranged by Peña La Estrella, with the Villa de Longares jota group.
  • 18:45: brass band to the sports courts, followed by the local clubs' futsal final.
  • 21:00: general rosary.
  • 23:30: gathering in the square, sangria from Peña El Vicio, banner competition and opening address by Peña La Estrella; brass band around the local clubs afterwards.
  • 02:00: Pedro DJ and Mario Pop at the bullring.

Wednesday 2 September

  • 10:00: morning reveille.
  • 12:00: Perosi Mass honouring San Vicente and San Gonzalo.
  • 18:00: procession and Dance del Paloteo, a Festival of Tourist Interest of Aragon, honouring San Vicente and San Gonzalo.
  • 20:30: dance in the square with the Banda de Almonacid and the lantern competition.
  • 23:30: Los Clandestinos, a musical journey from the 1970s to today with Wakanda & La Tribu; bingo arranged by Peña El Desakato afterwards.
  • 01:30: Charanga El Cachondeo from the sports hall and around the local clubs, with a cocktail competition.
  • 04:30: beer-pong competition at Peña La Jarana.

Thursday 3 September

  • 10:30: children's park in Plaza de San Antonio.
  • 11:00: Mass in memory of those who have died.
  • 14:00: meal arranged by the Asociación de Mujeres Virgen de la Puerta.
  • 17:15: afternoon concert with Orquesta Magia Negra.
  • 18:00: target-shooting competition at Peña El 69.
  • 18:15: brass band from the sports hall to the square, followed by hot chocolate from Peña La Bodega.
  • 20:15: children's fancy-dress competition in the square.
  • 00:00: dance with Orquesta Magia Negra, adult fancy dress during the interval and DJ Hugo Valero afterwards.

Friday 4 September

  • 12:00: children's games at the sports hall.
  • 14:30: ranchos cooking competition sponsored by Electrodomésticos Tornos.
  • 16:30: wet brass-band parade with a prize for the most original costume.
  • 18:00: long street bull run with Murillo Conde livestock.
  • 20:00: early-evening session at Peña Los Colgaos, with mojitos and DJ Chema Cortés.
  • 23:30: children's wheeled bull with Emboladores Torrelongares.
  • 00:01: evening bull from Murillo Conde.
  • 01:15: Orquesta Bacanal; bingo by Peña El Vatikano during the interval and DJ Coloma afterwards.

Saturday 5 September

  • 08:00: breakfast sponsored by Sociedad de Cazadores La Dehesa.
  • 09:00: street bull run with Javier Soria livestock.
  • 11:30: Aragonese rural-sport display, open Barra Aragonesa throw and traditional games by Club de Barra Aragonesa de Aguarón, at the bullring.
  • 16:30: milongas, songs and Black tangos with Ariel Prat at the sports hall.
  • 18:00: heifers from Javier Soria; €1,500 bingo afterwards.
  • 23:00: evening bull from Murillo Conde.
  • 00:30: V.I.P. (Versiones Inolvidables del Pop-Rock) concert, then a mobile disco with Álex Pardos and Alberto Andreu.

Sunday 6 September

  • 11:00: Mass.
  • 12:00: foam party in the square.
  • 13:00: tapas competition in the square.
  • 16:30: guiñote and rabino card competition at the sports hall, arranged by Peña El Toril.
  • 18:30: early-evening session in the square with DJ Luis Redondo and a Typical Spanish fancy-dress theme.
  • 19:30: horseshoe throwing at Peña La Becerrada.
  • 00:00: Juegos Divertidos games between age groups and musical bingo.

Monday 7 September

  • 10:00: morning reveille.
  • 12:00: the giants' heads set out with the Banda de Almonacid and local officials.
  • 14:00: stewed beef served at the sports hall.
  • 16:30: afternoon concert with Orquesta Vendetta Show.
  • 18:00: street bull run with Javier Soria livestock.
  • 21:00: general rosary.
  • 23:00: Gran Prix with Javier Soria livestock.
  • 00:30: dance with Orquesta Vendetta Show; bingo by Peña El Deskontrol during the interval and DJ José afterwards.

Tuesday 8 September

  • 10:00: final morning reveille.
  • 12:00: Perosi Mass honouring Virgen de la Puerta.
  • 18:00: procession and Dance del Paloteo, a Festival of Tourist Interest of Aragon, honouring Virgen de la Puerta.
  • 20:30: presentation of prizes from the festival competitions.
  • 22:00: grilled sardines at the bullring.
  • 00:00: final firecracker display; then a brass band to the square, cava and a Stuttgart Music mobile disco with DJ Luis Redondo.
