La Losa Patronal Festivities Programme 2026

The festivities honouring Our Lady of Cepones and San Roque run from 28 August to 9 September 2026. This schedule preserves the events, times and venues published by La Losa Town Council.

Friday 28 August 2026

  • 16:30: children's and inter-peña seven-a-side football championship, football ground; organised by Peña KGB.

Saturday 29 August 2026

  • 17:30: parchís competition, Centro Cultural hall; organised by the pensioners' association.

Sunday 30 August 2026

  • 12:00: triduum for the Virgen de Cepones, parish church.
  • 18:30: XXIV walk to the San Pedro hermitage from Plaza de Los Pobos, followed by a team handkerchief game and watermelon tasting.

Monday 31 August 2026

  • 16:30: frontón tournament, frontón court; organised by Peña RSK.
  • 19:30: triduum for the Virgen de Cepones, parish church.
  • 20:00: concert by local group Ronda Losana, Centro Cultural hall.

Tuesday 1 September 2026

  • 12:00: children's games, Plaza de Los Pobos; organised by Peña Paketemetes.
  • 19:30: triduum for the Virgen de Cepones, parish church.
  • 20:00: floral offering, church of San Juan Evangelista.
  • 23:00: beer pong, Plaza de Los Pobos; organised by Quint@s 2026.

Wednesday 2 September 2026

  • 12:00: children's play park, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 18:00: team challenge, Plaza de Los Pobos; organised by Peña KGB.
  • 22:00: cider-chorizo snack in Plaza de Los Pobos; then the peñas open with charanga El Boquerón and a sangria competition in the peñas, followed by DJ Gonch at Peña RSK.

Thursday 3 September 2026

  • 12:00: community workshops, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 13:30: all-ages Zumba, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 14:30: party, communal macaroni meal and Aleno DJ session, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 18:00: Toca2 concert, Peña Eristoffeo.
  • 19:30: soapbox race, Cuesta de la Calle Real.
  • 21:00: traditional grilled-sardine gathering with dulzaina and drum, Plaza de Los Huertos.
  • 23:30: opening address by Club Deportivo Sierra de la Mujer Muerta for its tenth anniversary and presentation of Quint@s 2026 alongside Quint@s infantiles 2017, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 00:15: La Bandita concert followed by DJ Kodai, Plaza de Los Pobos.

Friday 4 September 2026

  • 14:00: tenth Vermú Popular, with a Brilli-Brilli theme, Los Pichas 3.0 and then DJ Peli, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 23:15: Vaquillas de la Luna with charanga Los Pirris, bullring.
  • 00:30: Grupo Pikante orchestra followed by DJ Enebral, Plaza de Los Pobos.

Saturday 5 September 2026

  • 12:00: parade of giants and big-head figures and children's mock bull-runs with Tirotateiro, from Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 14:30: communal meal with mixed and vegan paella, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 17:30: chito championship, bullring; organised by Peña New Pinganillo.
  • 19:30: children's fancy dress, Plaza de Los Pobos; registration at 19:15.
  • 23:00: adult fancy dress, Plaza de Los Pobos; registration at 22:45.
  • 00:00: Estopa tribute by Estoparte, Los Lebreles concert and closing DJ set by Ismael Yuguero, Plaza de Los Pobos.

Sunday 6 September 2026 - San Roque

  • 11:00: dulzaina-and-drum street music with Grupo Laurel.
  • 11:45: procession down from Plaza de Los Pobos to the church.
  • 12:00: Mass and procession in honour of San Roque, church of San Juan Evangelista.
  • 14:00: porrón drinking competition, Plaza de Los Pobos; organised by Peña New Pinganillo.
  • 15:00: traditional caldereta stew, Plaza de Los Pobos.
  • 18:00: Masamadre concert, Plaza de Los Pobos.

Monday 7 September 2026

  • 19:30: La Alborada de Hontoria theatre group presents Yo soy Cristóbal Colón.

Tuesday 8 September 2026 - Our Lady of Cepones

  • 11:00: dulzaina-and-drum street music with El Resbalón.
  • 11:45: procession down from Plaza de Los Pobos to the church.
  • 12:00: Mass and procession in honour of Nuestra Señora Virgen de Cepones, church of San Juan Evangelista; communal refreshments follow.

Wednesday 9 September 2026

  • 12:00: Mass for the deceased at the church of San Juan Evangelista, followed by a visit to the cemetery.
