At 6.30 pm, the giant-figure parade leaves Mercado Chico for Plaza de Santa Teresa; the peñas gather in Plaza de Italia and Plaza de Nalvillos at 7 pm. The official opening in Mercado Chico starts at 9 pm, with María Muñoz de Fernando's proclamation and concerts by Bombai and Sofía Cristo.

Wooden games run in Mercado Chico from 5 pm to 8 pm. Juan Santamaría presents Con el alma enamorada in the Basilica of Santa Teresa at 8.30 pm. Fitosfera play at 9 pm and La Fuga at 11 pm in the Multiusos venue.

Ávila welcomes residents living elsewhere at San Francisco at noon. A public reading from the Book of the Foundations starts at the Convent of San José at 5 pm, and the floral offering leaves the Cathedral for the Santa Teresa monument at 7 pm.

The fairground holds its reduced-price Children's Day. Archery starts beside the city wall at 10 am, the traditional music and dance gathering begins in Mercado Chico at noon, and Hava Dúo perform at Lienzo Norte at 7 pm.
