Our Lady of Succour and Our Lady of the Rosary Festivities in Belmonte de Tajo: 2026 programme

The official programme includes preliminary events from 21 August and the main days from 4 to 8 and 12 to 13 September 2026.

Please note: the Town Council may change or cancel events if unforeseen circumstances require it. Follow traffic restrictions, safety directions and the ban on glass in the bullring.

Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August

  • Throughout both days, bullring: community assembly of the bullring; residents are welcome to help.

Friday 28 August

  • 21:00, Alejandro García municipal sports centre: 24th Israel Sánchez Benito Memorial, Veteranos Sporting Belmonteño versus Fuenticon.

Saturday 29 August

  • 13:00, Plaza de la Constitución: 9th Peña Taurina Matinée.

  • 10:00-13:30 and 18:00-20:00, Casa de la Cultura: Scalextric championship for children and adults.
  • 12:00, parish church: novena honouring Virgen del Socorro and Virgen del Rosario.

  • 12:00, Nuestra Señora de la Estrella parish church: Mass, floral offering and medals for new brotherhood members.
  • 13:00: lemonade and buns from the brotherhood with the band.
  • 13:00, Glorieta de Valencia: Electro Charanga Rock&Wells.
  • 21:00: Virgen del Socorro procession with the band, hymn in the square and kissing of the image in the church.

Saturday 12 September: Virgen del Rosario

  • 06:00, Puerta de Valencia: departure for the Amigos de Belmonte de Tajo fishing day.
  • 08:00, Alarcón reservoir, Valverde de Júcar: fishing event.
  • 11:30, Puerta de Valencia: procession to Mass with queens, ladies, the Municipal Corporation and Banda de Música de Villarejo de Salvanés.
  • 12:00, Nuestra Señora de la Estrella parish church: Mass and floral offering.
  • 13:00: lemonade and buns with the band.
  • 18:00, Plaza de la Constitución: adult and children's rana contests and girls', boys', women's and men's chita contests.
  • 21:00: Virgen del Rosario procession with the band, hymn in the square and kissing of the image in the church.

Sunday 13 September

  • 12:00-14:00, Paseo de las Fuentes: inflatable attractions.
  • 12:00: mus card tournament.
  • 13:00: fishing prize-giving.
  • 14:30, Paseo de las Fuentes: community arroz cortijero meal supporting the Three Kings Parade.
