Tordesillas 2026 festival programme

The festivals honouring Virgen de la Guía and Virgen de la Peña begin with preliminary activities on Friday 4 September. The principal day of Virgen de la Peña is Sunday the 13th, and the programme ends on Thursday the 17th.

Friday 4 September 2026

23:00: Renovation Experience macro-discotheque with DJ, lighting and sound in Plaza Mayor.

Saturday 5 September 2026

23:00: Macrodisco Melecia in Plaza Mayor.

Sunday 6 September 2026

19:00: desenjaule and public presentation of the cattle for the events, at the bullring.
22:00: Bravo Maldonado concert in Calle Gutiérrez Mellado.

Monday 7 September 2026

22:00: Los Sultanes concert in Plaza Mayor.

Tuesday 8 September 2026: Virgen de la Guía

09:30: festive morning parade honouring Virgen de la Guía with the Banda de Música de Tordesillas, leaving Plaza Mayor.
11:00: solemn Mass in Santa María church.
Afterwards: procession and opening address from the Town Hall balcony by Helena and Reyes Muelas, the fifth generation of Bodega Muelas.
18:00: Giants and Big-head Figures parade between Plaza Mayor and Gutiérrez Mellado with Sal del Compás.
20:00: El Naán Banda's Germinal concert in Plaza Mayor.
20:00: Thomas Potiron's Eléctrico concert in Gutiérrez Mellado.

Friday 11 September 2026: festival eve

18:00: children's Chiquibueyes bull run from Bar El Ancla to the bullring.
19:00: halter-cattle run; expected arrival at the bridge at approximately 20:00.
22:30: opening firecracker display by the bridge.
22:35: peña concert by AMC Banda de Música de Tordesillas in Plaza Mayor, preceded by a street parade from the Palacio Alto esplanade opposite Casas del Tratado.

Saturday 12 September 2026: Faroles

12:00: lantern exhibition in Plaza Mayor with Sal del Compás.
13:00: loose clock chime and rockets marking the start of the patronal festivals.
17:00: Fiesta de la Colocación with Sal del Compás. Route: Plaza de Exuperio Alonso, Garabato, Santa María, Plaza Mayor, San Antolín and Empedrado.
19:00: children's lantern parade with Sal del Compás, La Clave, Giants and Big-head Figures. Route: Plaza Mayor, Santa María, La Parra, Corro Bazán, Cantareros, Postigo, Palacio, Alonso Castillo Solórzano, Las Claras, Ingeniero Paz Maroto, San Pedro and Plaza Mayor.
23:00: traditional Desfile de Faroles. Route: Plaza Mayor, Santa María, Plaza Pepe Zorita, Dimas Rodríguez, La Viña, Corro Bazán, Cantareros, San Vicente, Empedrado, Jardines del Palacio, Alonso Castillo Solórzano, Las Claras, La Soga, Santa Rita, Santiago, Valverde, San Pedro and Plaza Mayor.

10:30: departure for the Virgen de la Peña sanctuary for Mass and the procession.
13:00: Toro del Cajón release.
17:00: lantern prize-giving in Plaza Mayor.
17:30: fancy-dress parade from Plaza Mayor to Gutiérrez Mellado with La Clave and Guateque by Goza Events and Friends disco.
18:30: first mixed bull run from Prado de Zapardiel to the bullring; expected arrival at the bridge at approximately 19:30.
22:00: semi-final of the ninth Castilla y León Recortadores Championship at the bullring.
Afterwards: open-air dance with La Huella orchestra in Plaza Mayor.

08:00: Toro del Alba at the bullring.
09:00: second mixed bull run from Prado de Zapardiel to the bullring; expected arrival at the bridge at approximately 10:00.

19:30: urban bull run from halfway across the bridge to the bullring.
Afterwards: Fiesta de la Descolocación and return of the Virgin's image with Sal del Compás.
23:00: fireworks in the open land beside the Gutiérrez Mellado car park.
After the fireworks: Sal del Compás street parade to Plaza Mayor.
Afterwards: open-air dance with local orchestra Vía Libre.
