Elche de la Sierra Sawdust Carpets 2026 programme

The official events ran from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 June 2026. The overnight carpet-making filled the designated route, which the Corpus Christi procession crossed on Sunday.

Thursday 4 June 2026

  • 17:00: DJ Little Beast, Placeta del Gorrinero pétanque courts.
  • 18:00: Señor Aliaga concert, Placeta del Gorrinero.
  • 20:00: background music at Placeta del Gorrinero and first Eucharistic Triduum service at Santa Quiteria parish church.
  • 23:00: DJ Little Beast, Placeta del Gorrinero.

Friday 5 June 2026

  • 18:00: 10th Children's Carpets, Balsa del Pilar.
  • 18:00: opening of the Crafts and Food Fair, paseo de la Libertad.
  • 20:00: second Eucharistic Triduum service, Santa Quiteria parish church.
  • 22:00: La Trova del Llano concert, Casa de la Cultura auditorium.

Saturday 6 June 2026

  • 11:00-13:00: live radio with Objetivo Sierra del Segura, Crafts Fair on paseo de la Libertad.
  • 19:30: third Eucharistic Triduum service, Santa Quiteria parish church.
  • 20:00: historic organ concert by Audi Filia Música Antigua, Santa Quiteria parish church.
  • 00:00-02:00: music in the Sawdust Carpet squares.
  • 00:00-08:00: making the Sawdust Carpets along the designated route.

Sunday 7 June 2026

  • Throughout the morning: launch of the publication Memoria Fotográfica: Alfombras de Serrín 2025, Association stand in plaza del Ayuntamiento.
  • 11:00: Eucharist at Santa Quiteria parish church.
  • After the Eucharist: Corpus Christi procession, accompanied by Agrupación Musical Santa Cecilia, along the Sawdust Carpet route.
  • 11:30: special CMM broadcast from the route.
  • 13:30: prize-giving, Casa de la Cultura.

Additional opening times

The Crafts Fair opened on Friday from 18:00 to 22:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 22:00, and Sunday from 08:30 to 14:00 on paseo de la Libertad. The parish displayed a sawdust carpet at the altar during the preceding days and until Sunday.
