Local festivals in Valencia
Las Fallas turn València's streets and neighbourhoods into a vast stage for temporary art, fireworks, music and commission life each March. The city also preserves celebrations including Corpus Christi, the Gran Fira de Juliol and the festivals honouring its two saints named Vincent.
Usual celebration
The main Fallas days are usually held from 15 to 19 March, although the Ninot Exhibition, the Crida and other events begin earlier. The plantà installs the large and children's monuments, the mascletaes fill Plaça de l'Ajuntament, the Ofrenda leads the commissions to the Mare de Déu, and the cremà on Saint Joseph's Day closes the cycle.
