Local festivals in Torrent

The patronal festivities of Santos Abdón y Senén and the Moros y Cristianos celebrations form Torrent's main July festival. The City Council, Federación de Moros y Cristianos, comparsas, clavarios, music bands and associations take part in events across Plaza Mayor, the historic centre and several neighbourhoods.

Usual celebration

The festival cycle usually lasts for several days in July and culminates on the 30th, the feast of the Santos Patronos. The proclamation, children's Entradeta, entry of the bands, Gran Entrada Mora y Cristiana, festival music, Mass and procession bring comparsas, musicians and residents into the streets between Monte-Sión, Trinitarias and Plaza Mayor.

Programme for 2026

The municipal programme ran from 9 to 30 July 2026. The Moros y Cristianos proclamation was held in Plaza Mayor on 24 July; on the 29th, the entry of the bands and the Gran Entrada followed the route between Monte-Sión and Trinitarias. On the 30th, an open-air Mass, solemn Mass and procession honoured the Santos Patronos, followed by fireworks and a night-time mascletà.

Local public holidays in 2026

The Valencian Government's official calendar declared 13 April, San Vicente Ferrer, and 30 July, Santos Patronos, as paid, non-recoverable local public holidays. The second date coincided with the close of the festivities, but the festival period itself was longer.

Other events

Fallas, Holy Week, the symphonic bands' concerts, Valencian pilota and the Festival Nacional de Folklore Ciudad de Torrent complete the municipality's cultural and festival calendar.
