Local festivals in Mislata

Mislata links its patronal festivities for the Virgen de los Ángeles and Santísimo Cristo de la Fe with the popular festivities organised by the Town Council. The two clavaría groups uphold the traditional events, while the fairground hosts the popular phase.

Usual celebration

The celebrations occupy several days from late August into early September. Streets in the historic centre and the Constitución and Mayor squares host passejàs, processions, fireworks, music, games and communal food events; activity then moves to the fairground on Calle Hospital, entered from Plaza de la Libertad. The two clavaría groups, the Town Council, partner organisations, associations and residents all take part.

Programme for 2026

The official programme runs from 20 August to 5 September. The patronal festivities, from 20 to 31 August, include the Gran Entrada Mora, the 47th Band Festival, the passejàs of the Virgen and the Cristo, a paella competition, despertàs, mascletaes, the Nit d'Albaes and the processions on 30 and 31 August. The popular festivities, from 1 to 5 September, bring games, shows, a correfoc, orchestras and concerts by Celtas Cortos, Dorian and Fangoria to the fairground.

Local public holidays in 2026

The employment calendar approved by the Town Council sets 13 April, San Vicente Ferrer, and 31 August, Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles. These are Mislata's two local public holidays in 2026; 31 August coincides with the principal patronal day but does not cover the whole festival period.

Other events

The Band Festival, concerts and travelling performances place music and the performing arts within the festivities themselves, alongside the regular programme at the Centro Cultural Carmen Alborch and other municipal venues.
