Local festivals in La Pobla de Farnals

The main festivities are usually celebrated over several days during the first half of September in honour of San José, San Félix, the Virgen de la Esperanza and San Francisco. Masses and processions are joined by parades, music, sport, communal meals and the preparation and serving of traditional calderas. Plaça de la Generalitat, Plaça de Sant Vicent and the streets of the historic settlement host much of the shared celebration.

Virgen del Carmen and seafaring tradition

In July, the beach settlement honours the Virgen del Carmen, patron of seafarers. The image travels through the marina and nearby waters accompanied by decorated boats, while religious observances are joined by floral offerings, music, paellas and community gatherings around the parish church, the marina and Plaça de les Corts Valencianes.

Other events: Fallas and popular culture

In March, the Fallas bring monuments, parades, music, fireworks, the celebration of Sant Josep and the cremà to the streets. Peñas, clavarios, committees, the Unió Musical, associations and the Town Council also take part in the patronal and seafaring festivities, maintaining a calendar that connects the town with the beach.
