Local festivals in Godella

Godella's patronal festivities are usually celebrated during the second half of August and culminate on 24 August, Sant Bartomeu's day. Clavaria groups and festival committees maintain several days of events honouring Sant Antoni, El Salvador, the Rosary and Sant Bartomeu, with Masses, processions and the traditional distribution of candles.

Music, fireworks and community participation

The Nit d'Albaes preserves traditional Valencian singing, while the Moors and Christians parades, mascletaes and the firework display from the Balcó de l'Horta fill the streets with music and gunpowder. Communal paellas, the Sant Antoni calderas and gatherings organised by the Casino Musical and Casal de la Pau bring together associations, hospitality businesses and residents.

Other celebrations: August devotions

The Mass and procession of the Assumption open the religious cycle around 15 August. The transfers and processions of the images connect Sant Bartomeu Church, El Salvador hermitage and the streets of the town centre.
