Local festivals in Benetússer

The San Sebastián major festivities are usually celebrated between the final two weekends of June. The offering and procession to the patron saint take place alongside events organised by local associations, music, food gatherings and a closing parade through the municipality's streets.

Corpus and Moors and Christians

Corpus includes Mass, a procession and dances by the Gegants i Cabuts, dolçaina and percussion groups, and traditional dance ensembles. The Moors and Christians companies organise the band entrance, children's Entraeta, Nit de l'Olla, embassies and gala entrance, a tradition documented in Benetússer since 1982.

Other celebrations: Holy Week and Fallas

Holy Week has combined processions with live Passion performances since 1949. Residents, brotherhoods and local performers turn squares and streets into stages; highlights include the Holy Burial procession and the Trencà de Perols on Easter night. In March, the Fallas commissions maintain the plantà, music, offering and cremà.
