Local festivals of the Vall d'Uixó
The Sant Vicent Ferrer patron saint festivities, declared of National Tourist Interest, take place over several days around the Monday after Easter. Their usual venues include Plaça de Sant Vicent, Plaça de l'Assumpció and streets and squares across the municipality, as well as the Agricultural Fair.
Among the traditions, the programme combined religious events, festivals, gastronomy, music, family activities and bous al carrer. The municipal resolution documents bullfighting events in eight days, a despertà, a mascletà in the Plaza de la Asunción and the castle of fires on 13 April in the Plaza de Sant Vicent. The Sant Vicent Ferrer Festival Commission, the City Council, associations, clubs, ranchers, musicians, neighbors and visitors participate. The city's stable calendar includes Les Penyes en Festes in August and the festivities of the Sagrada Familia and the Holy Christ in October.
