Local festivals in Pilar de la Horadada
The Virgen del Pilar Patronal Festivities are usually celebrated throughout October. The floral offering on the 11th and the solemn procession on the 12th form their central events, while peñas, associations and residents take part in parades, music, community gatherings and activities in the town centre.
Float parade and peña participation
The float and fancy-dress parade, recognised as an event of local tourist interest, brings the festivities to a close. Peñas build the floats and enliven a route filled with music, colour and community participation, alongside other traditions such as the festival coronation and paella day.
Other events: pilgrimage and coastal neighbourhood festivities
In May, the San Isidro pilgrimage brings together residents, carriages, horse riders and pilgrims in honour of the patron of farmers. During the summer, Torre de la Horadada, Mil Palmeras, El Mojón and Pinar de Campoverde organise their own celebrations; Torre also honours the Virgen de la Asunción with religious observances and gatherings in its squares.
