Local festivals in l’Alfàs del Pi

The Jubilee and Santísimo Cristo del Buen Acierto festivities are usually celebrated over several days in November, culminating on the 10th. Street parades, the Nit d’Albaes, a floral offering, club events, Mass and a procession bring together the Town Council, San José parish, the Mayorales, the Associació de Penyes and residents.

Trisagios, the embassy and the Jubilee’s origin

The Trisagios are sung prayers unique to l’Alfàs, passed down through local families for more than a century and a half. The procession of the Cristo ends with an embassy recited in his honour. The Jubilee privilege granted by Pius IX in 1857 gave rise to these festivities, linked to the image’s arrival by sea at Racó de l’Albir.

Other celebrations

Les Copletes a la Verge dels Dolors preserve one of the district’s oldest traditions through popular songs accompanied by dolçaina and tabal. The l’Albir festivities also bring music, parades and community gatherings to Parque de los Eucaliptos, with Mayorales, local clubs and associations participating.
