Usual celebration

San Fermín lasts nine days, from 6 to 14 July. The Chupinazo opens the festivities in Plaza Consistorial, the city-centre square, and the Pobre de Mí closes them; between the two come the bull runs along Santo Domingo, Mercaderes and Estafeta to the bullring, the procession on 7 July, the Giants and Big-headed Figures, peñas, music and fireworks. The City Council and numerous community organisations stage events in the Old Town and neighbourhoods.

Other cultural events

Other events at the Citadel and in the city's neighbourhoods form a year-round programme of exhibitions, theatre, music and community culture, separate from the San Fermín festival programme.
