Local festivals in San Pedro del Pinatar

The patronal festivities in honour of Saint Peter the Apostle are usually celebrated in late June. The patron saint’s procession, offering of produce, livestock fair, local clubs and performances in streets and squares bring residents together under the co-ordination of the council’s festivities department, the festival committee and local associations.

Virgen del Carmen by land and sea

On 16 July, the image of the Virgen del Carmen travels in pilgrimage from San Pedro to Lo Pagán and then continues in a maritime procession across the Mar Menor. Fishermen, worshippers, the Asociación Virgen del Carmen and the fishermen’s guild maintain a celebration closely bound to the municipality’s seafaring identity.
