The Santísimo Cristo de las Mercedes patronal festival is Galapagar's principal celebration and occupies streets, squares and public venues in the town centre.
Usual celebration
The usual celebration lasts several days around 14 September. The Town Council, parish, clubs, associations, fairground operators and residents participate in religious events, parades, concerts, recreational activities, food stalls, rides and inflatables installed in public streets.
Local public holidays in 2026
The municipal e-office designates Friday 15 May, San Isidro, and Monday 14 September, Santísimo Cristo de las Mercedes, as Galapagar's local public holidays in 2026.
Other cultural events
