Local festivals in Brunete

The usual celebration of the Santísimo Cristo del Patrocinio patronal festivities occupies several days before the main day on 14 September. The town hosts a proclamation, peña gatherings, music, brass bands, street parades, games, a market, rides and fireworks. High mass, the floral offering, dances, the procession with the Municipal Band and the auction of the carrying platform shape the religious events, involving the brotherhood, peñas, Town Council and residents.

San Sebastián

On 19 and 20 January, the annual Hermanos Mayores first visit local homes carrying an olive branch to collect donations. The chapel hosts a mass for deceased members, followed by solemn mass and a procession; at the Cultural Centre, people share refreshments, lemonade and the traditional Rosca del Santo before the branch is auctioned to the accompaniment of a band.

Other events: San Isidro pilgrimage

On 14 and 15 May, Pradera del Santo hosts camping, music, games, rides and fireworks. The popular pilgrimage includes mass, refreshments and lemonade offered by the Farmers' Association, a procession with the image of San Isidro, an open-air dance and traditional dancing, involving farmers, families and local organisations.
