Local festivals in Olot
Festes del Tura is Olot's main festival: a free, popular street celebration honouring the Mare de Déu del Tura, with the local faràndula as its defining tradition.
Usual tradition
The festivities are usually held around 7 and 8 September in the Firal, Plaça Major, central streets and the city's churches. Over several days the Gegants d'Olot, nans and cavallets take to the streets alongside sardanes, parades and events organised by the City Council, the Festival Committee and local groups.
Other events
The Fira de Sant Lluc, held in central Olot in October, completes the traditional calendar with a market and activities connected with the city.
