Local festivals in Olot
Festes del Tura is Olot's main festival: a free, popular street celebration honouring the Mare de Déu del Tura, with the local faràndula as its defining tradition.
Usual tradition
It is usually celebrated around 7 and 8 September at the Firal, Plaça Major, central streets and city churches. Over several days the Gegants d'Olot, nans and cavallets take to the streets alongside sardanes, parades and events organised by the City Council, the Festival Committee and local groups. A municipal agreement sets the 2026 celebration from 4 to 8 September, a five-day period.
Local public holidays in 2026
Olot designated 7 and 8 September as local public holidays, under the Municipal Council agreement of 28 August 2025. They are the city's two local non-working days in 2026, although Festes del Tura runs from 4 to 8 September.
Other events
Fira de Sant Lluc, scheduled in central Olot on 18 October 2026, completes the traditional calendar with a market and activities linked to the city.
