Local festivals in Llagostera

The Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days around Pentecost in late May. Plaça Catalunya, Parc de l'Estació, Plaça del Castell and the Polivalent building host sardanes, a gala dance, concerts, flower displays, games and cultural events. The giants and big-heads gathering and parade, together with the correfoc fire run, show the participation of the Colla Gegantera, cultural organisations and the Town Council.

Fira del Bolet

In October, the Fira del Bolet fills the old town for a day with a mushroom market, craft demonstrations and an exhibition of wild specimens. Plaça del Mercat, Sant Feliu church, Casa de les Vídues and Can Caciques bring together artisans, associations, families and visitors around local woodland and food heritage.

Other celebrations: Sant Cristòfol

In July, the Sant Cristòfol festival brings cars, motorcycles and lorries together on Avinguda de l'Esport before a parade to Plaça Catalunya, where the vehicles are blessed. The day continues with a community supper and music in Parc de l'Estació, organised by the Town Council and Club Patinatge with participation from the parish and local volunteers.
