Local festivals in Vilassar de Dalt

The Sants Màrtirs Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days from late April into early May. A procession led by the Salvador Riera capgròs, the century-old giants and neighbourhood banners goes from Can Rafart to Plaça de la República Catalana and Sant Genís church, where the relics are opened, the town vow is renewed and the goigs are sung. Sardanes, giants' gatherings, correfocs and communal meals complete the festival with the Town Council, parish, brotherhood and local organisations.

Sants Genís Festa Major

In late August, the Sants Genís Festa Major fills the town's streets and squares over several days. Giants, sardanes, correfocs, family activities, sport, music and outdoor meals bring together residents, the Comissió de Festes and numerous cultural and sporting organisations for the main summer celebration.

Other events: Sant Antoni and the Tres Tombs

Around 17 January, the Sant Antoni festival preserves the Tres Tombs organised by the saint's committee. Horses, carriages and participants follow a route through the municipality and maintain a tradition associated with working animals, forming part of Vilassar de Dalt's established popular-culture calendar.
