Local festivals in Torelló

The Festa Major is usually celebrated over the final days of July and the beginning of August. Plaça de la Vila, Plaça Nova and the central streets host the dawn call, parades, giants and big-head figures, sardanes, music, street theatre and dancing, with the involvement of the Town Council, cultural groups and local associations.

Distinctive Festa Major events

Pescant la Lluna, Deixeble d'Acer, Ball de Verds and Riminí give the festival a recognisable character. Demonstrations at the Museu de la Torneria, communal gatherings and the participation of grallers, local groups and Diables del Ges connect crafts, music and fire culture with the municipality's festive life.

Other celebrations: Carnaval de Terra Endins

Carnival brings float-building groups and the Associació Carnaval de Terra Endins together around a major parade. The arrival of Rei Carnestoltes, Pullassu, Senyoretes i Homenots and the burial of the sardine form a distinctive sequence combining satire, floats, costumes, music and participation by schools and groups from the Vall del Ges.
