Local festivals in Sant Just Desvern
The Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days around 6 August, the feast of Sant Just and Sant Pastor. The town symbolically divides into yellow and blue teams, which participate in a friendly festival contest while streets and squares host music, popular culture, games and events organised by local associations.
Autumn festivities and Sant Just al Carrer
On the fourth weekend in October, the Festes de Tardor bring residents and associations together around Sant Just al Carrer. The distinctive ball-bearing kart descent, organised by the local Karts association, extends this participatory street tradition into November.
Other celebrations
Els Tres Tombs brings the blessing of animals and the Sant Antoni Abat tradition to January. The Flama del Canigó arrives on 23 June, and the Revetlla de Sant Pere is held at Basses de Sant Pere; caramelles, Carnival and the Ateneu’s Festa Major complete the cultural calendar.
