Local festivals in Sant Boi de Llobregat
Each May, the Festa Major brings together the celebration of Sant Baldiri, the city's patron, with popular culture, music and events run by local organisations in Sant Boi's squares, streets and cultural venues.
Usual celebration
The festival is centred on 20 May and lasts several days. An opening address in Plaça de l'Ajuntament usually begins a programme involving the council, colles and associations, with a correfoc, a giants' gathering, castells, tabalada, grallers, sardanes, concerts and family events. Parc de la Muntanyeta, Plaça de l'Ajuntament and Plaça de l'Agricultura are among its recurring venues.
Programme for 2026
The official edition ran from 15 to 17 May, with an additional Sant Baldiri day on 20 May. Coral Renaixença delivered the opening address on the 15th to mark its 50th anniversary; the programme included a correfoc with eight colles de diables, a gathering for the 35th anniversary of the giants Ramona, Baldiri and the Casablanca giants, a casteller event, tabalada and matinada de gralles. The piromusical closed the programme on the 17th in Parc de la Muntanyeta, while the Mulassa was presented in Plaça de l'Ajuntament on the 20th as a new figure in the local bestiary.
Local public holidays in 2026
The municipal holiday calendar declares 20 May and 7 December as Sant Boi's local non-working public holidays. These are specific days off and do not represent the full duration of the Festa Major.
Other events
The 2026 programme also included Sant Boi Balla, Mercat d'Art Jove, Fira del Joc i l'Aventura, a lacemakers' gathering, communal paellas and music by local artists and groups.
