The Sant Jordi main festival is usually celebrated over several days around 23 April. Plaça de les Mallorquines, Riera Sant Jordi and nearby streets host books and roses, sardanes, giants, parades, fire runs, music and shared food. The Town Council organises the festival with local troupes, cultural associations, traders and residents.

Sant Joan main festival

Around 24 June, Montgat welcomes summer with another main festival lasting several days across the Sant Joan neighbourhood and the old quarter. The opening speech in Plaça de la Vila, Sant Joan cake, the Canigó Flame, sardanes, traditional games and fireworks from Platja de les Barques shape a celebration shared by associations, music groups and families.
