Local festivals in Manlleu

The Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days during the first half of August. The opening speech, concerts and dances, sardanes, correfoc, games, popular sport and activities beside the Ter bring the Town Council, cultural associations and youth groups together at venues across the town.

Festa del Serpent

Every 14 August, the Festa del Serpent brings the legend of the Serpent de Manlleu into the streets through a performance of music, pyrotechnics, festival figures and public participation. The Serpent dels Menuts introduces the story to children, while the Salt del Diamant and night-time route are among its characteristic moments.

Other celebrations

The Festa dels Tonis opens the traditional calendar in January with events connected to rural heritage and draught animals. Sant Joan incorporates the Tradifoc in June, while Fes-te Jove adds concerts, games, cantabars, a correfoc and activities organised by local youth groups during the Festa Major.
