Local festivals in Les Franqueses del Vallès
Five main festivals are usually celebrated across the municipality. Bellavista opens the cycle in early July; Corró d’Amunt and Marata follow during that month, while Llerona and Corró d’Avall take their turn in September. Each community organises several days of events in squares, streets, cultural centres and sports venues.
Popular culture across the five communities
Street parades, giant figures and gegantons, sardanes, concerts, games and communal meals shape the festivities, with local festival committees, cultural organisations and the Town Council participating. Maratafolk distinguishes Marata’s celebration, while the Ball de l’Espolsada preserves a tradition particularly associated with Corró d’Avall.
Other celebrations
The Fira de Sant Ponç occupies Corró d’Avall in May. In late November, the Festa de la Mongeta del Ganxet brings a local-produce market, traditional bean threshing and sorting, music, giants and farming culture to the Antigues Escoles de Llerona.
